Theoretical and Practical Parts of Type Training Course
Once you have obtained that, the next logical step is to train on specific aircraft models. There is a lot of information to cover when it comes to Type Training, but it is basically divided into two parts: the theoretical part and the practical part.
The theory includes all contents as listed in Part-66 of Annex III, i.e. detailed theoretical knowledge of the applicable systems, structure, operation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of the aircraft in accordance with the approved maintenance manuals.
Once you are done with the theory and have passed the exams to prove that you are ready for the hands-on job, you can move forward and go for the practical training part of the course.
